Hoya Sunrise is a hybrid by Michael Miyashiro in 1991 between Hoya lacunosa and obscura where obscura is dominant in looks. Both parents are from the Philippines and it does best in a normal household environment and does not require a high humidity ie 30% - 60% is good making it a easy grower. With good light the leaves turn a dark red with prominent veining producing very attractive foliage. The flowers are sweetly fragrant and a mature plant will have flowers pretty much all year. This is an easy grower!!
Our hoyas are well rooted plants with a minimum of 4-5 leaves in 2 1/4 inch pots. The pictures of the three 2 1/4 pots is a typical representation of the plant you will receive!. Hoyas like to be pot bound so PLEASE DO NOT IMMEDIATELY RE-POT your hoya! We ship our hoyas in their pots and purposely on the dry side to reduce shipping cost and to reduce chance of contamination if shipped to damp.
Please have patience when opening your order as we use a lot of packing tape. We have had little to no shipping damage with all our orders due to our superior packing methods.
SHIPPING... We offer free shipping and free heat packs. Our goal is same day shipping. Orders received on Mon, Tues, Wed., by 1 pm, Pacific Standard Time will generally ship that day. Orders received on Thur - Sun will be shipped on the following Mon. We check recipients weather and if a heat pack is required it is included at no cost. Larger orders and heat pack shipments will be sent via Priority Mail and smaller orders, less than a pound we use First Class mail.
RETURNS... We do consider returns under special circumstances. All return requests have to include a clear picture of the return item WITHIN 48 HOURS OF RECEIPT OF ORDER. Slohoyas will then decide if the hoya in question has to be returned before issuing a credit or replacement. No refund will be considered without a picture.
